One of my favourite parts of my job is the fact that I get to cuddle newborns on a regular basis! What makes it even more special is that I’ve had so many repeat clients that come to me after I did their wedding photos, or their first child photos, and I get to see a family progress and grow.  I feel honored to be invited back time and time again, and if we haven’t met before I would love to meet your family and start a new photo tradition with you!

Family sessions are shot on location – at your home, a park, the forest, the library, where ever! Together we’ll choose a place that reflects your family.  The sessions are light and fun, and I’ve become really good at chasing toddlers around to get the shot I’m after!  These sessions last between 30 – 60 minutes.

My newborn sessions are held at the comfort of your own home and the session can last anywhere between 1 – 2 hours, depending on babies mood.

What exactly IS a Lifestyle Session?

A lifestyle shoot is (and I quote) ‘A style of people photography which aims to capture and document real-life events, situations, or milestones in an artistic manner and the art of the everyday.  The primary goal is to tell stories about people’s life or to inspire people in different times.”

Basically I aim to photograph families in a way that shows who they are, without hiding behind forced poses fake smiles.
I find the beauty in the normal, everyday life.
So how does it work?

We find a location (your home, the beach, the library etc)  I get a few more formal images out of the way (great for grandparents and those who prefer a more traditional style of photography) then we roll into the lifestyle session part.  Feeding kids, toilet training, feeding ducks, reading books, cooking a meal.  Whatever you like to do as a family, I want to be there to bottle up some of that magic.
And that’s it!  Basically, after the first part of the session, you ignore me and I’ll do all the work!
How simple is that?!
Your images will be given to you as edited digital files, ready to print and share with family and friends.
