In a super sweet ceremony in a little garden in the sleepy town of Hanmer, Jess and Hayden married their best friend in front of friends and family.

With a subtle LOTR theme there where gems of goodness throughout the day, from the Gimli helmet on the signing table, to a personalised tale of romance performed instead of a speech. There was a ‘gold’ ring for each guest (My precious), and my favourite Tolken Quote – ‘I would rather spend one lifetime with you, than face all the ages of this world alone’.

For the bridal party photos we headed off to the abandoned Queen Mary Hospital, where post war soldiers were sent to recuperate. With old beds and wheel-chairs still laying around, and an odd assortment of mannequins this was a fun place to do a shoot.

My favourite part of the day though, was seeing Jess really cut loose on the D-floor, her introverted nature thrown aside for a wild shape-cutting machine. Girl danced HARD. And she wasn’t alone. Especially when the family favourite Bohemian Rhapsody came on and nearly every single person was on that floor, singing their hearts out. Hayden and Jess also treated us to a stellar High School Musical dance off which was just AMAZING!
